About

Clift Rodgers Library is an informal independent library, run by two librarians, a board of trustees, and an army of volunteers or friends of the library. (See below for listing of staff and volunteers.) It is one of only a few self-sufficient lending libraries left in the nation. For patrons there are no computers, no Internet connections or even library cards, but there is alway a friendly smile and book advice. For more than 100 years, the library has rewarded those who have discovered it with a satisfying variety of reading matter.

Today the library is a cheery gathering place for the patrons from the neighborhood, the town, many surrounding towns, and especially in summer, from all over the world. They come for books, for information, to visit the Consignment Shop and to enjoy the warm welcome extended to all at Clift Rodgers.
